High Scoring Week 7 In The PAHL

In the A division the Blue Jackets dropped their second straight losing to Stenny’s Big Dogs by a final of 6-5. The Big Dogs are now in sole possession of the top spot in the division. Tom Hoffman and Joe Schreck had the hot paws as they combined for nine points including a hat trick by Hoffman. O’Connor’s improved to 4-2-1 and takes over third with a convincing win over Ticket King, 6-2. Phil Parda led the charge for O’Connor’s scoring a hat trick and adding an assist. Buffalo Wild Wings won their second straight by frying Leonard Insurance 7-3. The Wings are showing improvement and are moving the puck well as seven different players accounted for the goals. Chmill Insurance had an easy settlement as they picked up a forfeit win as Ice Peckers must have been out trick or treating, they were a no show for this one.

Decibel Night Club moved into a three way tie for the B division top spot by simply destroying Labatt Blue 17-3. Yeah that not a misprint 17. Shawn Dempsey had five goals and an assist to lead the way. Other notables were Dan Costello-four goals and two assists, Justin Richter-three goals and seven assists, and Jake Strauss, two goals and four assists. Labatt remains in the three way tie. Also on a roll and in the tie is Benno’s.  Benno’s pounded Beer Barons to the final of 12-1. Steve Harry caught fire and lit the Baron goalie for seven goals. Scott Sengpiel added four of his own en route to the win. Red Hawks meanwhile moved into a tie for second with Korbelly’s by beating them 8-2. Mike Javes recorded two goals and an assist to help seal this one. Stenny’s Big Dogs moved into the basement of the division losing to the Saber Cats 9-1. Team scoring leader Kurt Anderson led the way as he posted two goals and two assists. Ken Stark also had two goals for the Cats.

S&B Undertakers grabbed a share of the lead by burying Fighting Sue 6-2. Steve Schmidt recorded a hat trick and added an assist. The Sue played well for most of the game but gave up three third period goals in the loss. Coyotes remain tied for the lead with a win over Baker Pool 6-4. John Baugnet had two goals for the Coyotes while Mike Turdo added a playmaker. Dusters are alone in second with their victory over Swamp Donkeys 5-2. Jace Raumann led the scoring for Dusters with two goals and an assist. The high flying Aviators picked up a much needed win to secure the third spot downing Predators 4-3.

Brass Monkey remains the only unbeaten team in the league after seven games by extinguishing the Blaze 9-2. Tim Sett had a hat trick while Todd Oleson and Adam Essling each added two of their own to cruise to the win. Korbelly Blues is showing some muscle as they picked up another win and moved into a tie for second by shooting down the Screamin Eagles by a final of 10-3. Pete Fehler would get a hat trick and an assist while Jeff Weiss added two goals and three assists to put this one in the books. Warriors are steadily moving up the leader board winning their second straight by sinking the Ice Breakers 7-2. Kevin Ward had the hot hands once again for the Warriors scoring a hat trick and adding an assist. Jason VanRite also had two goals for the mighty Warriors. O’Donoghues improved to 5-2 and in a tie for second by taking down the Predators 5-3. Tom Albee had two goals and an assist to lead the O’Donoghues scoring.

The Norse moved back into a tie for first by invading Shooters Service 9-4. Clay Stearns and Dewayne Neumann each had two goals for the Norse. Bar Louie also in a tie for the top spot went down to the Pirates by the final of 3-1. Tom Penn, Andy Clithero, and Alex wolf all had a goal to lead the way to a much needed win to keep themselves only one game out of first. St Pats improved to 4-3 by dancing on Crazy Horse 7-3. Tony Tanzillo led the way for St. Pats recording a hat trick and adding an assist. Jason Hughes also had a fine outing scoring twice on the Crazy Horse goalie. Benno’s got a needed victory over 4th Base beating them 6-4. Will Apps had the hot stick recording a hat trick and adding two assists. Dean Sable added two goals of his own to help Benno’s secure the win.
