In the A division, Steny’s Big Dogs made their final claim of the season on Chmill Insurance with the settlement going to the Dogs by a final of 10-5. Ryan Pliska, Adam Freeman, and Tom Hoffman each had two goals to keep the Big Dogs barking. Steny's captures the number one seed with a regular season record of 8-3 while the idle Ace Hardware claims the second spot. Leonard Insurance clings to the third spot but it took an overtime game to secure as they squeak by Liquid Johnny’s 6-5. R.J. Rick and Cole Holmes had two goals apiece in a penalty filled affair to secure the win. O’Connor’s/Pete’s Pizza with a record of 5-5-1 capture the fifth seed with the Blue Jackets getting sixth at 5-6. The top seed in the B division has yet to be settled with Ticket King looking to be the front runner. Ticket King downed the Red hawks in a close one 5-3. Brendan Doud poured in the hat trick to help secure the win. Korbelly's can take the number one seed but will need some help. They will need to beat KSB Insurance on Friday, have Ticket King lose to the Ice Peckers and then win the goal differential tie breaker with Ticket King leading by nine goals in that category. Watch for both Korbelly’s and Ticket King to run up the scores should the opportunity present itself. Labatt Blue finishes the season with a fine 8-3 record and can do no worse than the third seed as the deliver a 9-0 shutout blow to the Beer Barrons. Neil Domanski and Bryan Prittie each had two goals while Prittie also added two assists for a four point night. KSB Insurance playing well as of late picked up a win over the Ice Peckers in a very tight battle 6-5. Scott Sengpiel posted his best performance of the season for KSB picking up a hat trick coupled with an assist. The C division was in action on Friday with the Dusters locking up the number one seed by virtue of the goal differential tie breaker over the mighty Warriors, plus 32 to plus 19. Dusters picked up their ninth win of the season beating Paulie's Ice Breakers by the final of 8-3. Brian Klipple had two goals and two assists to lead all scorers. The mighty Warriors lock up the second spot by taking down a struggling Korbelly Blues group 3-1. Russell Gleisner led the scoring for the Warriors with two goals in the game. 4th Base takes the third seed as they nip out an overtime victory over the Predators 6-5. Once again it was Speed Skater Alex Ochowitz getting it done for 4th Base scoring two goals and adding an assist to secure the spot. Fighting Sue captures the fourth spot picking up a forfeit win over the grounded Aviators. The Black Birds finish up with a 4-7 mark as they close Bar Louie by a final of 6-1. Jon Rader recorded a five point night scoring the hat trick while adding two assists. Tony Gionati also had a fine game finding the back of the Black Birds nest twice. On Sunday night, C division playoff action got underway with the Predators advancing to the second round as they eliminate Paulie’s Ice Breaker by a final of 10-5. Jaje Siegert recorded a hat trick combined with a playmaker for a fine six point outing. In the other preliminary round game Aviators once again could not get off the ground and had to enter yet another forfeit as they send the Black Birds flying into second round playoff action. In D division play, WOW! Those Krazy Puckers got their first win in the final game of the regular season edging out Shooters Service by the final of 4-3. Mitch Janich records the hat trick and Jackie Kelly added two assists to keep the Puckers from finishing winless. Shooters locks up the top seed however with a great 9-2 record. Lincoln Avenue Dental takes the second spot at 7-3-1 as they numb 4th Base 8-5. Brian Kelenhofer gets the hat trick for the pain makers to cap this one. The Wolf pack howled their way into the third spot as the shut out Crazy Horse 2-0. Ryan Judge scored the only two goals in a tightly contested affair. A resurgent St. Pats team had the Pirates walking the plank with a shutout win 4-0. Cody Brehm caught fire and scored all four goals to close out the regular season for the D division.
Some Top Spots Still Up For Grabs

In A division play Stenys Big Dogs locked up the top seed despite being beat by a resurgent Leonard Insurance squad 9-7. Cole Holmes would insure this one rallying from behind with two third period goals giving Holmes a hat trick on the night. Ace Hardware had a chance to lock up the second seed but could not overcome a third period rally by O’Connor’s/Pete’s Pizza. Ace led 4-2 after two but allowed two early third period goals get by sending this contest into overtime. No team could score in the overtime and the contest ended in a 4-4 tie. Liquid Johnny’s swatted down the Blue Jackets by the final of 7-4 Sunday night. John Schwabe scored two goals and added an assist to help exterminate the bees in regulation. In B action KSB Insurance proved that despite only picking up their second win of the season they will be a team to be reckoned with as they played division leader Ticket King to a 3-3 tie. Ticket King has been the favorite to win this division for some weeks now. Korbellys keeps its dream of being the top seed in the division as they kick Stenys Big Dogs around to the tune of 6-4. Korbellys will have to win its final game and get some help to claim the top spot. Labatt Blue also with an outside chance to grab the top seed tamed the Saber Cats by the final of 9-6. DJ Bowe would find the back of the Cat’s net four times to keep Labatt alive for the coveted number one spot in the playoffs. Meanwhile the Red Hawks continue to improve with each game and will have to be dealt with before any team can claim the crown as they destroy the Beer Barrons by the score of 8-2. Nick Zukaukas caught fire in this one picking up four goals and an assist for a fine five point night. In C division action, arguably the most consistent team in the entire league, the mighty Warriors improved to 8-2 and a share of the division lead by narrowly beating the Black Birds 6-5. After trailing 5-2 after two the Warriors rallied with four unanswered third period goals including the game winner by Ben Perz unassisted with just 1:27 left in regulation. The Dusters also in a tie for the top spot give a game up to 4th Base by a final of 6-2. Olympic Speed Skater Alex Ochowitz put in four goals and added two assists to for a huge seven point night to leave the Dusters guessing. Nice game Alex. Fighting Sue looks to be peaking at the right time as they blank Korbelly Blues by the score of 7-0. Tom Porter records the hat trick to lead the Sue invasion. The Blues who started the season strong have been in a struggle as of late and will need to regroup to make a run at the playoffs. Bar Louie stays ahead of the .500 mark as they battle a close one with Paulies Ice Breakers edging the Breakers out by one, 8-7. Adam Gustafson would lead all scorers hitting the back of the Breaker net four times. The Predators now sitting a 4-6 picked up a gift from the high flying Aviators as for the second week straight the Aviators would have to enter a forfeit due to a lack of available players. Shooters Service wraps up the top seed in the D division by sliding into 4th Base by a final of 5-1. Jon Little capped this one scoring two goals and an assist to lead Shooters to the win. The Pirates pick up another victory moving them into a tie for the second spot by taking down the Wolf Pack 3-2. Nik Wolf scored a goal and an assist to lead the Pirate invasion. Lincoln Avenue Dental also moves into a tie for that second seed as they send Crazy Horse sliding down the pole 5-2. Will Apps gets the hat trick to lead his team to the win. Wow, how about those Krazy Puckers? They almost picked up their first win of the season as they battle a close one with St. Pats only to lose it by the final of 6-5. Cody Brehm would prove to be the difference in this one as he scores twice while adding an assist. Krazy Puckers only chance to pick up a regular season win will have to come in their final game against division winner Shooters Service, good luck.
Undefeated in this League, Never Happen

Stenys Big Dogs has a two game lead in the A division standings as they exterminate the Blue Jackets by a final of 9-3. Adam Freeman had a big night for the Dogs as he poured in four goals and added three assists giving Freeman a seven point night. Ace Hardware moves into the second spot at a respectable 5-4 but it would take an overtime win to get there. Ace played a hard fought game against a hot Leonard Insurance group that is just one game back at 4-4.The game winner was scored by Dave Davis at the 3:20 mark in the extra period. Meanwhile Liquid Johnny’s continues to struggle with picking up needed wins as they took on a determined Chmill Insurance bunch but managed only a tie. Liquid Johnny’s was leading this one 2-1 with 26 ticks remaining when Matt Waite sent the tying goal past net minder Brandon Kingsley assisted by Brian Sagadin. Too bad Brandon, you gotta finish. In B division action Ticket King clings to a one game lead as they kick Stenys Big Dogs hard 10-1. Matt Chovaz led the Ticket King charge as he poured in a hat trick coupled with a playmaker. After the bye week, Labatt Blue picked up where they left off easily sudsing KSB Insurance 10-5. Bryan Prittie had the hot stick for Labatt as he found the back of the KSB net four times. Korbellys moves into the third spot at 5-2-1 with a hard fought overtime victory against the Ice Peckers. Brian Seremet would be the hero in this one as he scored the game winner at the 4:36 mark of the overtime. Seremet had a two plus two on the night to lift Korbellys in this one. The Saber Cats clawed their way past the Red Hawks in a close contest 4-2. Jason Begley picked up a goal and an assist to get the cats purring. Saber Cats are in a nice position with a solid record of 5-3. In a battle for the top spot in C division play the Dusters and Warriors went in with Identical 6-1 records but only one could move to the top. This time it would be Dusters as they shut out the mighty Warriors by a final of 5-0. Steve Wetzel picked up a goal and an assist en route to the win. Aviators would see a much needed win overturned due to an ineligible player dispute. The game is awarded to Korbelly Blues who now sit in a tie for the second seed along with the Warriors. The Fighting Sue get to the .500 mark at 4-4 by invading Bar Louie in a good one, 6-4. Matt Miller would pick up the final three Sue goals to give him the hat trick and his team the win. 4th Base moves to 4-3-1 by downing the Black Birds 4-2. Olympic Speed Skater Alex Ochowitz found the back of the Bird’s nest twice to lead the 4th base charge. Predators pick up a nice shut out win as they take down Paulies Ice Breakers by the final of 7-0. Jason Zurawik recorded a hat trick coupled with two assists to get the Predators their second win in eight tries. The Wolf Pack improves to 5-3 as they beat previously undefeated Shooters Service by the score of 8-2. Keith Shadrick snuck two pucks past the Shooters goalie en route to the win. Shooters may need to win two more games to clinch that coveted top seed. Lincoln Avenue Dental numbs the Pirates by a final of 4-2. Brian Kellenhofer picks up two goals in this one to help lift his team to a nice 5-2-1 mark. St. Pats has found new life picking up another win and moving to the .500 mark at 4-4 by taking down Crazy Horse 8-3. Art Marchessault would lead all scorers by picking up two goals en route to the win. 4th Base got their second win of the season by delivering the eighth loss in as many games to those Krazy Puckers 8-2. Kyle Beutin had a big night for 4th Base as he scores four goals and adds two assists to make sure that this one would not slip away. All divisions return to action this weekend with a full slate of games schedule over all three evenings. Should be some great action as all divisions remain up for grabs. Come on out and catch a game or two at the coolest place to be for hockey this summer.
